Buying Real Madrid tickets: what to know

The matches that sell out first

Derbies, title deciders and European knockout nights go fastest and cost the most. For those, booking weeks ahead gives you far more choice of seats.

Away matches

Tickets for away matches are usually in home-fan sections. Leave club colours at the hotel and do not celebrate openly — stewards can remove you.

Buying for a group or family

Every listing tells you whether its seats can be sat together, so keep an eye on that detail before you buy. Prices are per ticket, and children need their own ticket.

About Real Madrid

History

Founded in 1902, Real Madrid are the most successful club in the history of European football and one of the most famous sporting institutions in the world. Los Blancos have won a record 36 La Liga titles, 20 Copa del Rey trophies and, above all, a record 15 European Cups/Champions Leagues — a haul no other club comes close to matching. Named FIFA Club of the 20th Century, Real Madrid's history is defined by galácticos, glamour and unrivalled European glory.

Santiago Bernabéu

Real Madrid play their home matches at the magnificent Santiago Bernabéu, their home since 1947 and now one of the most spectacular stadiums on earth following a breathtaking redevelopment featuring a retractable roof, a retractable pitch and a 360-degree screen. With a capacity of around 85,000, it is a true theatre of football. The stadium has its own Metro station (Santiago Bernabéu, Line 10).

The 2026/27 Squad

Under head coach Álvaro Arbeloa, Real Madrid boast a galaxy of superstars. The attack is led by Kylian Mbappé — who scored a remarkable 42 goals last season — alongside Brazilian talisman Vinícius Júnior and England midfield sensation Jude Bellingham, while world-class goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois guards the net and Trent Alexander-Arnold adds quality at full-back.

2026/27 Expectations

After a rare trophyless campaign in 2025–26, Real Madrid begin the season with only one acceptable objective: silverware. Álvaro Arbeloa's star-studded side aims to wrestle the La Liga title back from Barcelona and chase a record-extending 16th UEFA Champions League — because at Real Madrid, anything less than winning is never enough.

Key Matches

The most famous fixture in world football is El Clásico against fierce rivals Barcelona — a global event watched by hundreds of millions. Also unmissable is the Madrid Derby against Atlético Madrid, along with the meetings with Sevilla and Valencia, and above all the legendary Champions League nights when the Bernabéu produces its unique magic. These marquee games sell out the fastest, so early planning is essential.
