Bayer Leverkusen tickets 2026-27

Founded in 1904 by employees of the Bayer pharmaceutical company, Bayer 04 Leverkusen — nicknamed Die Werkself (the works eleven) — are one of the Bundesliga's most established clubs. For years they were known as "Neverkusen" after an agonising 2001–02 season in which they finished runners-up in the Bundesliga, the DFB-Pokal and the UEFA Champions League. That wait ended in spectacular fashion in 2023–24, when Xabi Alonso's side won the club's first-ever Bundesliga title and the DFB-Pokal while going unbeaten through a record 51 competitive matches. Leverkusen also lifted the UEFA Cup in 1988 and the DFB-Pokal in 1993.

Leverkusen play at the BayArena, a compact and modern stadium in the heart of Leverkusen with a capacity of 30,210. Originally opened in 1958 and redeveloped into a sleek all-seater with an oval roof covering every seat, its intimate horseshoe design places fans right on top of the action, creating one of the most atmospheric grounds in Germany. An attached hotel and restaurant overlook the pitch, making it a distinctive matchday destination.

Under new head coach Carles Martínez Novell, appointed in July 2026, Leverkusen enter the season in a new chapter following the departures of Florian Wirtz and Xabi Alonso. The squad is built around goalkeeper Mark Flekken, a defence marshalled by Edmond Tapsoba and attacking full-back Álex Grimaldo, and the creativity of midfielder Aleix García. Up front, Czech international striker Patrik Schick leads the line, supported by exciting young talents such as Ernest Poku and Ibrahim Maza.

After a transitional 2025/26 campaign of rebuilding and change, Leverkusen aim to re-establish themselves among the Bundesliga's elite. New boss Carles Martínez Novell's brief is clear: restore the attacking, front-foot identity that brought the title in 2024, push back into the Champions League places, and mount another run in the DFB-Pokal.

The fixture Leverkusen fans circle first is the Rhine derby against local rivals 1. FC Köln — one of the most heated meetings in German football. Just as significant are the measuring-stick clashes with champions Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, the meeting with RB Leipzig, and the European nights when continental football comes to the BayArena. These marquee games sell out the fastest, so early planning is essential.

Official sales open in phases and sell out fast, but secondary-market tickets for every confirmed fixture — Bundesliga, European competition, DFB-Pokal cup ties and pre-season friendlies alike — are available on YourTicketLive as soon as the schedule is announced, so you can secure your seats early.

Prices vary with demand. Standard Bundesliga matches are the most affordable, while marquee fixtures such as the visits of Bayern Munich or Borussia Dortmund and European nights command premium pricing. Because the BayArena is a compact stadium, availability is limited — each match page shows the current lowest available price.
