What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser to remember preferences and keep you signed in.

Cookies we set

Strictly necessary — ytn.session: your authenticated sign-in session, managed by our auth library (Better Auth). Without it, signing in and checking out would not work. This cookie is set only after you sign in and is exempt from consent.

Functional — ytn_display: remembers the display currency you pick (EUR, USD, GBP). Set only when you choose a currency from the picker. Depending on the operator's posture (configurable in the admin), this cookie may be gated behind your Functional consent in the banner — if you decline, the site falls back to the default currency on each visit.

Analytics, Performance, Marketing — none today. If we ever add any, they will appear in this list before they activate, and we will ask for fresh consent through the banner.

Third parties

Our payment partner Stripe sets its own cookies on the checkout page to prevent fraud. See their cookie policy for details. Our consent banner is provided by CookieYes; it loads a small script from cdn-cookieyes.com that records your consent state in your browser only.

Our live-support chat is provided by tawk.to. If you have accepted functional cookies, we load it on every page a few seconds after that page has finished loading — sooner if you interact with the page first — so the chat is ready before you need it; you do not have to click anything. Loading it fetches a script from embed.tawk.to, which sets its own cookies to run the conversation. From then on tawk.to receives and stores, on its own servers, your IP address, the pages you visit on this site while it is running, and anything you type into the chat. Once you have opened the chat we also keep a marker in your browser's session storage so it comes back immediately as you move between pages; closing the tab clears it. If you decline functional cookies, or have not answered the banner yet, the chat is not loaded and none of that reaches tawk.to; the chat button stays on screen and clicking it re-opens the banner. If you withdraw your consent we remove the chat from the page, delete the cookies and browser storage tawk.to set on this site, and stop loading it again; anything already sent to tawk.to's own servers is subject to their retention, not ours.

If you have accepted functional cookies, we also open the network connection to embed.tawk.to early on every page you visit, so the chat downloads faster when it loads — whether or not you end up opening it, and including pages you leave before the chat itself is ever fetched. This early connection discloses your IP address to tawk.to, but on its own it downloads nothing, sets no cookies and sends no chat data. If you decline functional cookies, or have not answered the banner yet, no connection is opened at all. If you withdraw your consent we stop opening these connections; one that is already open may stay until your browser closes it on its own, and it is never used to load or send anything in the meantime.

Managing your preferences

You can re-open the consent banner at any time by clicking the "Cookies" link in the footer. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings — but disabling the strictly-necessary cookie will break sign-in and checkout.
